At First Presbyterian children take an active part in many worship and music activities that provide opportunities for children, not only to grow in their faith, but to serve Christ and His church.

Wednesday Afternoon Music Activities (August - May)
Children's Choir (K-5th grade), meets every Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Children prepare music for worship by singing,  playing Orff instruments or ringing handbells.  Children sing in worship on average of 6 times a year (click here to view singing schedule).

Sunday School Opportunities (Mid-August - May)
We offer Sunday School classes for children age two and up. Classes during the program year are divided as follows: age 2-3, age 4-5, first grade, second & third grades, fourth & fifth grades.

Worship Opportunities
Children are actively involved as participants and leaders during worship. Those in grades 3-6 are encouraged to serve as acolytes for the 11:00 a.m. service. Acolyte training is provided at the beginning of the program year. We also provide children's worship bags for children to use during worship that include puzzles and games that relate to the scripture readings for the day.

Summer Sunday School Opportunites (June to Mid-August)
We provide Summer Sunday School programming for children of all ages. The format is a non-traditional Sunday School program that includes games, crafts, learning and fun! Most summer classes meet in the Education Building and Gym-Ed Building.

Vacation Bible School (June)
Our children enjoy Vacation Bible School, held from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, usually the second week of June.

Children's Library
The Children's Library is located on the first floor of the Education Building.
