Time and Talent
Each fall we conduct a stewardship campaign and ask our church members to complete a Time and Talent Survey to help us include everyone in the church’s activities. This survey is an excellent way for us to learn about your special, God-given talents and interests. While fall is the best time to submit a survey, feel free to fill it out at any time, especially if you are a new church member.
If you are unsure about an activity, you may request information on the Time and Talent Survey and a committee chairman will contact you to answer questions. Not all programs require the same time and effort. Church governance (all committees) operate on a calendar year basis and meet once a month. Other programs operate on the school calendar year.
Whether your talent is teaching Sunday School, providing snacks, knitting, repairing homes, doing yard work, playing an instrument, greeting church members on Sunday, or serving meals for Room in the Inn the church encourages and welcomes your involvement.
If you do not have time to volunteer for a regular program, you may get involved in helping support them when specific needs arise. Several programs, such as RIFA Snack Backpack Program or Room in the Inn, need supplies and volunteers at regular intervals throughout the year. You can respond to requests for these in the Newsletter and the Sunday Bulletin.
