Sanctuary Memorial Hall Rear Entrance

First Presbyterian Church of Jackson is located on a 10 acre campus comprised of the:

  • Sanctuary
  • Memorial Hall and Offices
  • Education Building
  • Gym-Ed (gymnasium-education) Building

The Sanctuary  was built in 1953 and is comprised of the Sanctuary, the Chapel, and the Jackson Memorial Carillon.

Memorial Hall was donated to the Church by Mrs. Clarence Pigford in 1951. It is a frequent gathering place for Sunday School, meetings, fellowship, Wednesday night suppers (the kitchen and dining hall are attached at the back of Memorial Hall). Church offices are located on the second floor.

The Education Building: The first floor contains our Nursery and Toddler Rooms as well as Preschool Sunday School room, offices and is also used by our Playschool. The second floor is dedicated exclusively to our Elementary age children. It has multiple classrooms which have been transformed into the Holy Land with various creative workshops. This is where the children attend Sunday School on Sunday Mornings in our amazing Rotation Sunday School. Our Wednesday Elementary program, BLAST! also meets in this building.

The Gym-Education Building has a full size gymnasium used by members and the community for recreation and exercise. The Gym-Ed Building also houses the Church Library, Junior and Senior High Classrooms and four classrooms that are used for Sunday School, Wednesday Night Small Groups as well as frequent meetings in between.
