The following classes meet during the program year (Mid-August to June). From June to Mid-August, we begin Summer Sunday School classes. The only exception is the Swaim Bible class which meets all year (click here to see facilities page for location of buildings).

Children and Youth Sunday School Classes
Meet in Education & Gym Ed Bldg.

Classes are divided as follows: Age 2-4, Kindergarten First Grade, Second Third Grades, Fourth and Fifth, Grades, Junior High (Grades 6-8), Senior High (Grades 9-12).

Serenity Class - Facilitated by Judy Herron

The Life Recovery Bible is our study guide, and the class is designed for anyone following the 12 steps of recovery. We meet in the Gym Ed building.

 

Unity Class - Facilitated by Nelda Evans, Linda Butler & Patty Smith

This class is led by volunteers from our class and guests. Topics of study change from year to year but usually include Bible study, contemporary issues and video series. We meet in the library in the Gym Ed building.

 

Seekers Class - Facilitated by Bill Hendricks

Members are encouraged to share their faith journey through study and discussion. Class members participate in the selection of resources to be used and may lead a class session if they so desire or just sit quietly and listen if they wish. All are welcome. We meet in the Gym Ed building.

 

Foundation Class - Facilitated by Dr. Charles Mayo

Topics for study and discussion are chosen by Dr. Mayo from suggestions made by the class at the first of the year. Lively discussion is a part of each lesson. We meet in the Gym Ed building.

 

Faithfulness Class - Facilitated by Carol Green

This class is a small group verse by verse Bible study. The curriculum engages the Scripture on 3 levels - What does the Bible say? What does the passage mean? How does the Scripture relate to my life? We meet on the second floor of the Education building.

 

Directions Class - Facilitated by Steve Bowers

Steve writes, "Each day our lives seem filled with activity, but what is our direction? This class seeks i Scripture a context from which we develop a direction for our lives." This term - words of wisdom, reflection, praise - The Proverbs and Psalms.

Alpha Class - Facilitated by Ceil Cowles and Bob Koehler

Our study for this year is called "The Wired Word: Confronting the News with Scripture and Hope" Relating current events to relevant Scripture. Each week we will discuss a topic in that week's news and relate it to relevant Scripture passages, including how to apply this to our everyday life. Food and Coffee Bar are always part of our weekly agenda!! We meet in the Gym Ed building.

 

Swaim Bible Class - Facilitated by Richard Swaim

In-depth study of the Bible, using no quarterly literature. We are currently in the book of Ephesians, Chapters 5 & 6 and will continue until the book is completed. At that time we will select another book from the Bible. We meet in Memorial Hall.

Inquirer's Class - Meets every other month in Pastor's Office, Memorial Hall
