Our Youth Ministry Program is designed for children ranging from the 6-12th grades. Whereas the youth of First Presbyterian do have a lot of fun with each other, they also spend time in service, Bible study and prayer. Our Junior and Senior High youth meet together on Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM for fellowship and games, break at 5:30 into separate groups for Bible study, and then come back together at 6:00 PM for dinner. Our time of fun, fellowship, study and dinner ends around 6:30 PM.

Our youth also meet for special programming on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM following the Wednesday dinner. Programs are led by Tommy Suttle and youth intern, Daryl Harrison, including Contemporary issues, Bible study, and service opportunities.

Presbytery-wide youth events, Jr. High summer conferences (“The Great Escape”), and Senior High summer conferences like Montreat Youth Conferences are also made available to our teenagers.

Box City was a great success. Thanks to all that participated and those that were sponsors. Our youth raised $1100 for Area Relief Ministries.

The youth hosted Room in the Inn on November 1st. They helped prepared and serve meals for several homeless men of Jackson.

Good job!!
